Andrew and Grama

OMGoodness. My first baby will be 10 in just over 2 short weeks!!!! I can't believe that I'm going to be the mother of a double digiter, that's not a word, I know :-) I became a mom on November 15th, 1998 and I can't believe that was almost 10 years ago!!! I wish Grama was here to see it. She told me one day, before she got sick...maybe a little bit less than a year ago, that she wanted to live to see Andrew turn 12...unfortunately, that didn't happen :-( His birthday party will be hard for him in that respect. Grama won't be there. Same with Christmas Eve. We've spent EVERY Christmas Eve since I was born at Grama's house eating a home cooked Italian meal (until the last few years when Grama got tired easier), but we'd still go and come together as a family...it was the only time we came together as a family. I guess we're doing it at my dad's house this year but it won't be the same. *I* have to work until 11pm that day so I won't be able to be there anyway. Work will keep my mind off of it, but me missing out on it is just another blow to my family...another change in the 30 year old tradition. Grama will be there in spirit, bit it just won't be the same.
