About Me

Hi, my name is Michelle. I'm a single mother to Andrew (10) and Ashelyn (6). I completed college in December of 2007 obtaining a degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling. I'm currently in a very new relationship with a wonderful man. My goal is to go back to college and earn my Bachelor's in Social Work; possibly my Master's. I would also love to get my CASAC (credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) someday. I'm discovering a new happiness in my life and the only thing I'm waiting for is to find a job so I can continue my career. I love my field of work and enjoy every minute of it. The rest you can find on my "complete profile". Any questions, feel free to ask :-)

Kid's pictures

I had the kid's pictures done together last year and dressed them in red because those were the only matching clothes they owned. I promised my Grama picture but she died before the pictures were done. She wanted to be buried with a picture of each and ever one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. When I brought my pics to the funeral home...before I laid them beneath her hands...I showed them to my father and he said..."Oh, she would have loved the red." Red was her favorite color, but that's not why I did their pics in red (the pic I speak of is to the right of my posts). This year I'm doing them in red on purpose. We're coming up on the day she was admitted to the hospital for kidney stones-(the same day I walked across the stage and accepted my diploma)-May 17th-also the last day she spent at home. When I mentioned to my therapist that it was only a month until the one year anniversary of her death, she asked me if there was anything I could do "in her memory". Grama loved red, so their spring/summer pictures will be done in red again. I know that's something small, but Grama loved summer too.
