Every week Ashelyn has a new "letter of the week" where they focus on one letter all week and learn the sounds it makes, read books that focus on that letter, learn to print and write that letter, etc. Another part of their learning the letter of the week is bringing in an item on Wednesdays that begins with that letter. They get a small "letter bag" made of fabric and are asked to put an item in it that begins with the letter of the week and they have to give clues to the class until the class guesses what's in the bag. The letter of the week this week is Uu...there are three things I can think of...unicorn, underwear, and umbrella...two of which are too large to fit in the bag and one that isn't appropriate. So, please, any suggestions are welcome :-)
