About Me

Hi, my name is Michelle. I'm a single mother to Andrew (10) and Ashelyn (6). I completed college in December of 2007 obtaining a degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling. I'm currently in a very new relationship with a wonderful man. My goal is to go back to college and earn my Bachelor's in Social Work; possibly my Master's. I would also love to get my CASAC (credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) someday. I'm discovering a new happiness in my life and the only thing I'm waiting for is to find a job so I can continue my career. I love my field of work and enjoy every minute of it. The rest you can find on my "complete profile". Any questions, feel free to ask :-)

OMGoodness

I just went to Transitional Services (they coordinate all of the Halfway Houses and such in the area). I went there to fill out paperwork for being hired at the one Halfway House (don't want to say names). That position was only Relief work, which means I would only work on an "as needed" basis. After filling out all the necessary paperwork (tax forms, confidentiality notices, HIPPA, etc) I left and stopped at the Pharmacy to pick up a friend's prescriptions for her and I came directly home. It was probably 15 minutes between the time i left Transitional Services and the time I arrived home. My answering machine was beeping that I had a message...I hardly EVER get phone calls so I had no idea who it was. Anyway, someone at Transitional Services has a full time position at a different "House" and this lady Basically OFFERED me the job and hired me on the phone. I mean, she went through things and information that is usually discussed AFTER you are formally hired. I have an appointment to speak with her tomorrow morning. YAY! I am so excited!!! I want full time work so bad!
